Creek Wood Subdivision in Chapel Hill, North Carolina

In 1991 Tom Heffner and Rolf Sass purchased 460 acres from the James M. Johnston Charitable Trust. The neighborhoods of Creek Wood and North Field were created from approximately 200 acres of the Johnston tract. Sass and Heffner worked with the Triangle Land Conservancy (TLC), a local land trust, to add the remaining 260 acres to other land TLC had acquired to from the Johnston Mill Nature Preserve. The preserve opened to the public in 2001.

Creek Wood is a unique subdivision comprised of large acreage, estate lots. Located north of Chapel Hill, these wonderful homesites allow for easy access to Research Triangle Park, as well as Duke University, and The University of North Carolina.

No developer lots are currently available for sale in Creek Wood.
